Matthew helped me with the renewal of my vehicle registration. He was friendly and worked quickly. Best experience I've ever had at a DMV! Thank you
Everything went smoothly and quickly at 8:30 on a Thursday. I would give 5 stars but I saw the "MHP salary and retention" fee on my receipt. We are all already taxed.
If I could give negative stars I would. The entire process is a mess. Prices for simple vehicle registration has changed from visit to visit in my three visits I've made since April. Got a temp tag issued in June. Wasn't allowed to pay for it until receiving my permanent plates in July. July 1st the price for temp plates doubled. You guessed it I had to pay a higher price for plates I already had. Supposedly $31 for military to register... got slapped with fees for everything you can imagine.
Employees are very polite. However, THREE WEEKS' wait to be able to take a written test??? And who knows how long after that to take the road test? Something is very wrong in the DMV (I don't believe the local branch is to blame).
My husband and I relocated to Montana. We went to get our vehicle registered and found out we needed the title, unlike where I was from. Totally not their fault I understand that part, but who we spoke to treated us like we were idiots because we didn't know some information. Well we get a demand for title and a temporary tag and were told THEY would call us as soon as our title came in. Fast forward a while and I called our auto financer only to find out they've had our title for almost a MONTH and we have not received a phone call telling us this. If we would have waited for their call 5 more days they would have sent the title back and we would have had to start the entire process all over again. My problem is , don't tell your customer that we will for sure get a phone call asap and never call us...? I for sure didn't want to be an annoying customer calling everyday for 2 weeks trying to get info on our title because I was under the impression it was their responsibility to let us know when it came in, like they said. They act like everyone is such an inconvenience. Major lack of care and communication. I only spike to 2 of the employees so maybe it was just them, not going to throw everyone else there under the bus. If I could give less than 1 star I would.
